Frequently Asked Questions

Coppertone Studios provides a set of services unique to the Twin Cities area. We have listed some frequently asked questions and our answers below to help you better understand what we do. If your question remains unanswered, contact us.

Do you consider yourselves pornographers?

While the answer to this question depends on your definition of pornography, we view our profession as taking "personal" photographs. For many people, the word "pornography" implies exploitation of a model for the benefit of the viewer. In our studio, YOUR satisfaction is the end result we strive for. We are not in the business of taking your picture for anyone's pleasure but your own (and for the pleasure of whomever you choose to share your pictures with). We want to make you feel and look good, in whatever ways you feel most comfortable with. Even though our shoots range from classical boudoir photography to explicit action scenes, since the focus is on you and not a potential consumer, we feel that our product is of an erotic and adult nature, but not pornography.

Do you only take "dirty" and nude pictures?

There is never any pressure by Coppertone Studios staff for you to undress or go beyond whatever personal limits you have. We want you to be comfortable and enjoy yourself. If you want lingerie or swimsuit photos, or shots of you in your meanest motorcycle outfit, we are very happy to oblige. At Coppertone Studios, we photograph a wide range of non-erotic subject matter as well. You can see a wide selection of our photos in the Gallery and on our portrait and events sites.

Do you only photograph singles, or are couples welcome?

We are happy to work with couples and groups, for no additional fee.

Do you keep all customer information confidential?

Of course we do! We understand your concerns about privacy, and keep all customer information strictly in confidence. We do not share our client list (obviously) with anyone! Our newsletter list is used ONLY to inform you of upcoming Coppertone Studios events and specials. We will always ask your permission if we are interested in using your photos as part of our galleries.

Can I use my pictures for commercial purposes?

Coppertone Studios portraits are intended for personal and non-commercial use. Some of our customers use their photos when placing personals ads, which is completely fine with us. If you are interested in using your photos for commercial applications, please discuss this with one of us, so that we can discuss licensing terms.

Will you be in the photos with me?

We're happy to be in photos, but as eye-candy only. We are not an escort service after all, and our skills are behind the lens, not in front of them, and we'll both be pretty busy during the shoot.
